Conclusion

In conclusion, it is absolutely essential for the College Football Playoff to expand.  Every FBS team deserves a chance to play for a national title.  With the current format, this simply does not happen.  There are many arguments against this expansion, but they are strongly outweighed by the positives of expansion. Expanding the playoff can give players from more teams the opportunity to showcase their skills and talents to NFL scouts against quality opponents.  Can the current system really be called fair if a group of student-athletes work hard year-round, beat every opponent they play, and not even qualify over teams with worse records?  Expanding the College Football Playoff will create a more exciting series of games as well as giving players on all teams the chance they deserve.
